About SOPO

Since our inception in 1971, SOPO has matured into an organization which provides an opportunity for acquiring CE that is second to none. The presenters are always nationally known and in fact are the same as are heard at the large conferences like SECO and Vision Expo. SOPO is very proud of the fact that we are the only non AOA affiliated organization that enjoys automatic approval of ALL our continuing education hours by the Georgia State Board of Optometry. We espouse no political agenda nor have any affiliation with any national organization. As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, our only aim is to provide quality CE for ODs throughout the Southeast. With all the changes in Optometry today, SOPO is evolving to continue to be a leader in our field. The Board of Directors are committed to making the changes that will ensure SOPO's continued existence for as long as the Optometric community exhibits it's need and support for our seminars.
